Summary-
People were gathering near
the Spanish border. They were escaping from Nazi because they could be captured
and killed by Nazi. Among them there was a young mother with her little
daughter. They were all refugees and were trying to get across into Spain and
planted to get America by ship. They were afraid because Nazi could come there
to capture them. Spanish soldiers did not let refugees cross the borders. They
promised to help woman carry her baby and the journey started. They were guided
by underworld guide. They walked the secret way in night. But on the way an old
man could not continue the journey. So he sank to ground and said that he could
not go ahead. He wanted to die and suggested the other refugees to save their
life. But the leader came and told him that he could not leave the journey. The
old man gathered his strengthened and continued the journey. The next morning
they reached in safe place by crossing the borders and high mountains. Thus
they saved their life. It was great answer for them of the struggles in their
lives.
Interpretation-
The writer may be
trying to tell us that where there is will there is way. If you have the
courage even impossible things become possible. Courage is the surest weapon against
any danger and coverage is also the greatest answer or the secret freedom. If
the refugees did not flick the coverage to climb the alizs to go into Spain
they would surely have to face death in a gas chamber of a forced labour camp.
There was no turnip back and they had no choice but to move forward and they
indeed successful life is difficult determination and hard work. The fruit is
sweet.
Critical thinking-
People pray to god
when they are in trouble or are facing difficulty as the mother prayed to god
of Abraham. This is only a psychological satisfaction. Besides it is quite
hypocritical because people forget god once they are safe and sound. This seems
to be another religious story which relies on the faith of god. Similarly does
any underworld guy help any other people? Do people flew from France as France
was a powerful country in world war 2?
Assimilation-
This story has taught
me that in times of trouble or difficulty, praying to god help to release on
pain a little. Similarly it has also taught me that we must be ready to fight
against our enemy at any age, place or situation. Before reading this story my
views were concerned that we can be safe in any other places but after going
through this story I came to realize
that no any place in the world is safer than our motherland.
