The Savage Male :: Four levels

Summary

The writer tries to show us that here are still uncivil people, who can be considered as the most scary and brutal in the world. They practice such evil activities in their society. They cannot live more than forty years because of their nonsense activities and poisonous drug. They are called Yanomamo people and they live in the border of Venezuela and Germany. War and fight is mandatory in their society. Nobody steps back from war and evil instead they conduct the program of fighting, punching in chest, shouting etc. they are consider themselves more powerful and energetic who have involved more in fight, who have more wounds and scars in their body, who have killed more people and done other more criminal activities. They kill their guests after satisfying them by their great feast and take their things. Sometimes hosts can be killed by guests. Who kill first consider proud. They have no love and emotions toward the losers. They do not give shelter and food to them who lives in war alone. The loser has to make happy the winners by working as a donkey.

Their society is male dominated. They do not think women are also living being. They have no any kind of respect with women. Most of the evil practices are done with women. If male gets angry with woman he can even kill her, small punishment are uncountable. And women also want being beaten by their husbands. If they are not beaten or punished without any reason they start thinking something is wrong in their husbands’. Male are the superior in their society. If brother bits his sister without any reason, parents motivates him to be more evil and if sister beats back, she will be punished by parents. More than this, if small boys beat their parents they tolerate smiling and encourage to beat more.

Interpretation

So the writer tries to present such brutal activities, which are conducting among the so called civil people. People wanted to be called civilized, but could those activities consider as civilized? The children of that society are listening and seeing the vicious activities from their childhood instead the beautiful stories of loves and emotions. They are being cruel and cruel day by day. On the one hand the science and technology is touching the sky day by day and on the other hand the cold blooded activity is also growing day by day. People cannot be affected by love as much as they are by brutal activity. So, in the context of human behavior and nature people can be more influenced by those savage activities. So the writer may be telling us that, those types of activities should be stopped.
